Gay Recruitment

Spodley Grange: Pulling it together

So, let me try and summarise this.

There's ten people coming, which suggests that, for a lot of the time, we'll be splitting into two groups of five.

Rich posted a suggested schedule, which sounded reasonable. It involved two 90-minute playtests in the morning and four hours in the afternoon: so that could be either two playtests of two hours or a single long playtest.

We've got two full days there, plus Friday afternoon. That's essentially five time blocks (morning or afternoon); for which we'll probably divide into two groups; and in each of those we'll run one long game or two short ones. So, very roughly, I think we've got room for ten to twenty games, not including the evenings.

Boxes

Looking way into the future, I've been looking at the idea of putting The Gay Recruitment Squad into a box.

The Box Office will do A5-size rigid coloured boxes for 1.01p each, minimum shipment of 50 boxes. Add shipping (10 quid) and VAT and that leaves you with about 1.38 a box.

Because it's in a box, I figure you can get away with a lower quality rulebook. I'm thinking of my old Tunnels and Trolls rulebook: A5, cardboard cover, stapled in the centre, laser-printed.

Everything else is fairly cheap: laser-printed cards, counters, griplock bags.

The Gay Recruitment Squad Wants YOU!

I've been working on "The Gay Recruitment Squad Wants YOU!" and I've knocked together a first draft. If you get a moment to give feedback, I'd really appreciate it.

By the way, I promise that I'll be a good boy and give feedback on everyone else's games, too.
