[Mob Justice] WarpCon 18

So, I'm slowly but surely getting around to posting up the games from WarpCon and next up to the plate is Mob Justice (leaving only a discussion about/demo of Spione, a playtest of zuzannah and the APs of Covenant and InSpectres to come).

Basically we got a strong request for a game of Mob Justice, which is great. Not a demo but something more like a game.

So, Adam ran two games of Lacuna at WarpCon. The first was with a bunch of folk waiting for a LARP I think, but I don't know anything about that session. I do know about the session that he ran after that one.

We had Adam Kelly running the game, and Matt Machell, Gregor Hutton and a local gamer Richard (who looked freakily like Malcolm in his bleached blond phase) playing.

OK, so WarpCon 18 (2008) is in the books and we had a great time.

Briefly, some of our pencilled-in games didn't run as there weren't available players at those times, and other games ran at other times ("on demand" as it were) when players were available and interested in them (Mob Justice, f'rex).

We had some sales, some full games, some demos and some playtests.

Sales: Best Friends 4, Contenders 1, Covenant 4

Games Run:
Mob Justice (a couple of scenes totalling a few hours of play, on demand)
Covenant (a long session of set-up and play that generated sales)

[WarpCon] Indie Games Track

OK, I'll be in Cork at the end of January for WarpCon.

We're going to run an Indie Games Track and I'd like to see a mixture of short games and some longer ones (maybe short games on Saturday and fewer but longer games another day),

Anyway, Cork isn't that expensive to get to and staying at student hostels are cheap and convenient. So is anyone from here going?

WarpCon 18 runs from 25th to 27th January 2008 in Cork, Ireland.

This year there will also be an Indie Games Track! We'll be looking for willing volunteers to bring the Indie Fun to UCC.

WarpCon is a great social convention and it really is a lot of fun. Guests are of the highest calibre and include John Kovalic (Dork Tower, Munchkin, Chez Geek, etc.) and Games Workshop's Jervis Johnson (WH40K, Blood Bowl, Adeptus Titanicus, Space Marine, etc.).
