Splitting the stall

Graham W's picture

It's a tentative idea, but it's been running around my head, so I wanted to throw it out there. (And, as a relative newcomer, I hope you'll excuse me for expressing radical ideas like this).

For this year's Dragonmeet, I think we should consider splitting the stall. Two stalls, both operating under the Collective Endeavour banner, organised co-operatively but separately.

[Lost Gods]Back to an old friend

At Dragonmeet I met Jerry Grayson (from Khepera Publishing), who's a very enthusiastic guy who'd once emailed me about Lost gods - one of my free games - saying he liked it. During our chat he mentioned that I should think about doing something more with it.

This of course got me thinking.

I wrote Lost Gods in 2001 (a late version of it can be found on the Realms eZine). It's a game about fading deities and the small miracles they craft to sustain themselves. Think Gaiman-esque fiction.

Dragonmeet: the photographising.

Here are the photos Claire took at the con.

LMK if there are problems with viewing them.

Most are pretty blurry because she didn't want to use the flash right up in people's faces.

[Dragonmeet] Breaking it down

Right there have been a lot of comments in other threads already regarding Dragonmeet but I thought I should start an official review thread.

First sales. Anything not on the list did not sell.

Dragonmeet: Would you like some cakes shaped like d6s?

Graham W's picture

So.

For my birthday, my girlfriend made me a cake. Actually, lots of small cakes, each about a 4 inch cube and shaped like a d6. They look good.

There's too many of these cakes to eat.

Would you like what remains to put on the stall? It'd be three 4 inch cube cakes. You could cut it up into smaller cubes (each d6 cake would make about 64 bite-size cubes) and have them on a plate.

Excited, terrified, confident, generally shitting myself...

Holy crap! I'm going to be selling a game in a week and a half!

I'm just putting some final alterations into the text: Cleaning things up, fixing spelling errors, clarifying some stuff and adding a section back in which I somehow managed to leave out. Actually, two sections.
