Long Enough To Playtest?

Destriarch's picture

I'm working on a new game that I might just, if I am extremely quick in finishing it up and laying it out, have ready and printed in time for Games Expo at the end of May. It's going to be a close-run thing, but I reckon I can do it.

Problem is, it doesn't leave much time for playtesting and I don't have a group handy to try it out. Reckon it's doable? I have the basic rules down more or less, barring a little refinement. Anyone care to help, or at least offer commentary on them?

[Reel Adventures] Almost done but some help needed

Iain McAllister's picture

I am almost done with Reel Adventures but would like to get a few more external playtests in before the end of march. The current rules can be found here:

[Solipsist] AP: Superman and John Constantine get on a plane...

Gregor Hutton's picture

So... I said I would boot this AP off, and I thought it unlikely that I would get around to it for a few days. Turns out I was wrong...

Anyway, tonight I was over at John Wilson's and we had a game of Solipsist with David, John and me. David ran it and we followed the rules and advice in the (very) latest version of the text, starting at the top and following it for a "single session" of play.

[Stitch] Stopping Skynet! (long)

So I managed to get in a playtest of Stitch while I was down at Conception and I had changed a lot since the first one. Here is a summary of the game as it stood at Spodely and the changes:

Overview
Stitch is basically ’12 Monkeys’ the roleplaying game. The characters a group of civilians and military personel sent back in time from a post apocalyptic world to change the past and alter the future.

[Hot War] Playtest - The Square

Neil Gow's picture

We had our first session of playtesting Hot War last night. I know that when I am waiting for playtest results I am like a cat on hot bricks so I thought I would give Malcolm a heads-up. I'll be adding the detail later on tonight but in essence:

- the session went very well
- nothing cropped up that was game-breaking in the slightest
- a number of the subtle changes from Cold City were accepted warmly
- my players are seriously twisted puppies!

More tonight.
