Publishers list...

Gregor Hutton's picture

OK this page lists a somewhat historical list of the members.

I suggest we update it to reflect published authors who are also members (for example Tim, who has been a successful indie publisher for sometime).

I also think it would be useful to list those people who are members and are working on forthcoming game projects (such as Graham, Rich, Per...).

Publishers

Who are the Collective Endeavour?

We have a whole host of members amongst whom currently active publishers include:

OK, who is going to GaelCon in Dublin? And who is interested in running some games there?

I think the format from last year worked fairly well, where we had 1 hour games (rather than 15-minute demos or full 3-4 hour games).

The con runs Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

I'll pipe up and say that I'm super-interested in running some games.

[Collective Endeavour] Where do we go from here in the wake of GamesExpo?

Gregor Hutton's picture

OK, some time ago on the back of Dragonmeet we said we would be looking towards GamesExpo and then, and only then, would we see how we all felt about where this thing was going in terms of membership, booth presence, etc. See this forum topic.

I appreciate that this was frustrating for people who have come here and asked about membership only to be told "not yet, wait and see".

Especially as these good people were contributing to the forums, participating and organizing events for users of the forums, and working on games or helping others with their games based around here.

[FYI] What is the Collective? What are your plans?

So, given that we've been musing about what membership means, and when we will open up membership to others I've put together a list of links that is intended to contain useful reading.

A lot of key points about the Collective Endeavour have come up on threads about UK Games Expo, particularly in this thread and then this one.

The key ones you should read are "What are the buy-in and other requirements for being a part of the CE?", and the response to that.

Realms Publishing

Realms Publishing is the self publishing effort of Matt Machell. As an offshoot of the Realms E-Zine its mission is to bring intriguing roleplaying games from concept to print.

Our first print game is Covenant: A story game of failing conspiracies, but Realms has provided game ideas on the web since 1999. In 2004 Matt's game of psychadelic 60s monster hunting, The Agency, was printed as part of the Nopress RPG Anthology
