UK Games Expo: No Taste For Murder

Graham W's picture

A Taste For Murder won't be ready and I'm not going to force it.

I'm happy to either hand over my slot or run one of someone else's games in my slot. I'm noting the following games aren't being run, so they'd be my first choices...

1. Best Friends (if Gregor isn't there, I'll definitely put myself forward to run this)
2. Revenge of the B-Movie (is it out by Games Expo? I can't remember)
3. Contenders (should be run, really).

Is there anything else that really needs to be run?

The latest UK Games Expo 08 newsletter is online.

I'm assuming at this point that we'll be having a Contributing Sponsor stand there (at least, that's what we had last year). If we're having any games launched around that time (31 May/1 June) then we could let them know and get publicity for the con and the new releases.

Solipsist will be debuting at Conpulsion at the end of March (we hope) and it should be a "new" book at Games Expo. Umlaut is another possibility, perhaps. Any others?

UK Games Expo have already booked the Clarendon Suites, Hagley Road, Edgbaston in Birmingham for next year.

So, UK Games Expo 2008 will be on 31st May and 1st June 2008.

I am interested in having an even more visible presence at UK Games Expo next year, so I will scope out the possibilities for us.

Last year we were Contributing Sponsors, and we could do that again, or perhaps something more.

Anyway, fill your diaries.

[UK Games Expo] Scheduled Games

OK, we're booked in at UK Games Expo and we are hoping to run some games.

The guys running the Expo are wanting descriptions of the games we will run.

Current examples are:

We don't need to worry about table numbers, etc. as the expo has a couple of extra available.

Now, given the slot structure we need to figure out what we're doing. So let's discuss that here...

OK, me first.

I think there's a good case for allocating people to the table for certain slots, e.g. Matt and Gregor to Slot A, Malc and Andy to Slot B, Iain and Joe to Slot C, or something like that.
