Best Friends

I know I do this all too infrequently, but I really must try and post more as I think it's a useful datapoint for would-be publishers.

I think Q1 2008 has been a fairly lowpoint in terms of sales, shifting about half the usual number of copies of Dead of Night via IPR. I don't think it's a coincedence that Q4 2007 and Q1 2008 coincide with a decreased involvement by me online or at conventions all round, so I haven't been posting actual plays or commenting on threads about DoN anywhere near enough.

CGS Sales, Q1 08

The first quarter of 2008 has, in many ways, been a very positive time for CGS. The release of the long-awaited Avenues & Alleyways supplement, plus the a|state PDF, gave the sales of our oldest product a real shot in the arm. Cold City sales are down slightly, going from an average of around 43 per month to 30 per month. However, this seems to be a natural trend and still represents healthy ongoing sales. The Companion also performs well, selling better than expected for a small supplement. The only disappointmet is the continued lacklustre performance of Mob Justice.

OK, I have run my reports today to get sales figures for Solipsist. It's been available since 12 March as a PDF and print pre-order. It was fully launched on 22/23 March at Conpulsion in Edinburgh.

To date we've sold...
Direct Print = 27 (20 at Conpulsion)
IPR Print = 9
IPR PDF = 6
OBS PDF = 8

Total = 50 sales (14 PDF/36 Print)

Well I am just about recovered from Conception, which was ACE!!!!!!, and thought the first thing I should do was post up the sales breakdown.

So the total for the con was £337 over 3 and a half days.

Direct Sales: 5 books
IPR: 114 books (16, 11, 63 and 24 by quarter with 29 of Q3 at GenCon)
One Book Shelf: 22 PDFs

Total (book + PDF): 176 sales

I also had 3 reviewers copies sent out and there were a number of complimentary copies associated with the new printing in August.

WarpCon's sales from last week will be rolled into the 2008 figures in a year from now. :-)
