[Contenders] Connection Threat Scenes

Hello Joe,

I was wondering what the rules are for determining the number of rounds resulting from being forced into a match through a Connection Threat Scene?

[Cold City] Rules Questions

Yokiboy's picture

Hello,

I'm re-reading Cold City after having received the Companion and reignited my fire for the game. However, I have a couple of question I'd like to get clarified.

I'm not sure how to tell which printing of the book I own, but I believe it might be the first, as I bought it pretty quickly upon its release. So the page reference numbers might not make sense if you have a later printing.

[Covenant]Rules tweaks

So, I've been getting some interesting feedback on Covenant of late after a years worth of actual play in the real world. It's all good stuff.

As you may have seen, I've added some details to the Realms Codex on rules options to address issues people have hit in play. I'm currently pondering which of these warrant upgrading to genuine errata.

The two I'm really keen on are:

Covenant resolution system

Matt,

Thanks for running the game on Saturday, I'm very glad I had the chance to play.

The resolution system is bothering me though. As far as I can tell, each side in the conflict takes it in turns to narrate a change in the conflict by bringing one of their traits to bear on the situation. Eventually, someone "gives" and declares them self the loser. If they have a worse roll than the other, they take a Consequence.

Basically, the actual "who wins" of the conflict comes down to who has the most appropriate traits, and who can wring the most tangential use out of those traits. Is that correct?

[Covenant]Errata

Following on from a few discussions, I've posted a couple of Errata for Covenant

Aso, if you've played the game and come up against anything obscure, drop a comment below an I'll try and clarify. It's all useful stuff, especially as I'm doing a big reprint soon and would like to include as many corrections as possible.
