Albion

Hello,

I am now the proud owner of the Albion/Samhain pdf download from Rpgnow.com. I would just like to comment how very, very pleased I am with it and look forward to running it with my group shortly.

I will make more comments about it's play as we experience it, but for now........

After what seems like a 3 year gap is there any hope of a GM's guide?

Thanks in advance for your kind attention.

a) Yay, fantastic!

b) Boo, busted! ;)

I have to apologise for the delay in getting that out. The current plan is to do an Albion - Reforged Edition which will improve the Player's Book and either include the GM's content or have it available as a second book. There's no specific timescale attached to that though. When it appears it'll be a free update for anyone who's purchased the current edition.

(EDIT: the improvements will include the layout of the book, and winnowing out a lot of the combat rules minutiae in favour more general frameworks for doing things.)

Another change I'll be putting in, or set of changes, will bring the handling of basic resolution into line with what's in the current version of NUGGET, as I think that's easier (eg you only need to worry about difficulty in situations that require it). The basic NUGGET rules are in a 2-page freebie available from YGN or RPGNow, so you certainly have the option of making the adjustment yourself.

Thank you!

Many thanks for responding to my post! I really appreciate the heads-up on what is being planned for the future of Albion. I have finished reading the player's guide and am working on the Samhain booklet. You have obviously put much work and care into the setting. I have downloaded the NUGGET rules and will take a look at them next.

All the best!
