I'm planning to run a game or two as part of the Indie Games Track. Give me a shout if you'd like me to run your game for an hour.
I'd prefer to run a game that you're pushing to sell on the stall: so, for example, if Joe was doing a big push on selling Contenders, I'd rather run Contenders than Swansong. That way, all the marketing works the same way: you'll be selling it on the stall and there'll be a bit of name recognition from the game I'm running.
Also, I'd rather not spend too much money on the game. If there's a demo version you could expand, that would be great, or I'd happily buy a PDF version.
Anyway, let me know.
Graham

That's really nice of you

That's really nice of you Graham, but I'm planning on being there and running some Dead of Night as part of the indie track, so I'd say run a game that wouldn't otherwise get run. What are you thinking of running?
I don't know, really. I'm

I don't know, really. I'm hoping someone will point me towards some game I wouldn't have thought of running. That'd be interesting.
I might run Jason Morningstar's Business Solutions, but I'd rather run something that's selling on the stall.

Hi Graham I'd like to take

Hi Graham
I'd like to take you up on your offer to run Contenders (or hypothetical offer anyway). You could even run Umlaut if you fancy, that would be pretty cool. I've not decided which title to push more, but your post hasmade me think I should probably go for Contenders.
I'll happily send you out a free pdf version of Contenders and there's a demo pack on my Resource page
Cheers

Might also be noting what other folks are running to avoid clashes. I'm currently erring on the side of a 2hr Covenant slot, with possibly a 1hr Shock or Roach session.
Course, if I get of my arse I might also have a playable version of Enlightenment and Entropy, but who knows?

It would be great to have nailed down preferences from those who'd like to be involved as to what games are going to run.
My own preferences at the moment stand with my perenial favourite Dust Devils for a one hour slot, Cold City for a one hour slot and maybe Everlasting Empire as a work in progress.

All right. I'll go with

All right. I'll go with Contenders, then, so the games I'd like to run are...
1. Contenders
2. A playtest of The Gay Recruitment Squad Wants YOU!
3. A playtest of Business Solutions (Jason Morningstar's game about photocopier repairmen).
...each for a one hour slot. I might not get to run all those, of course, but here's hoping.

Excellent Graham,

Excellent Graham, cheers.
I'll note those down as your preferences. If we could get three games from each participant, that would give us a great selection to choose from and potentially whittle down to the core of games that people are really excited about and want to run.

I'll post my preferences

I'll post my preferences later as well! At the moment I'm thinking:
1. Dead of Night
2. Spirit of the Century
3. something else as yet to be decided.
I've also started a thread

I've also started a thread here about running 1 hour games for the indie track - a more of a "how to" than a "what games." I'd appreciate some tips!
Not totally settled on what

Not totally settled on what I would like to run but preferences would be
1) Mob Justice
2) Playtest of reel adventures - if we are going to include this kind of thing as part of the IGT
3) Primetime Adventures

That's a good question! Are we? I'm not sure I'd be comfortable playtesting one of my games as part of the track, but I think that speaks more about me and the stage I'm at with my designs!
Two Slots for me
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Wed, 10/01/2007 - 12:31.
"Up Go The Heads"
Gregor Hutton
1 Hour Slot
A fun game about the funny old game of football. Written in 24-hours to satisfy the needs of the Conpulsion charity auction bidders, UGTH is a hard-tackling game of diving and scoring. Whoooooof! He really hit that one.
"Best Friends"
Gregor Hutton
2 Hour Slot
A game about Best Friends and all their petty hatreds. Be a member of the latest all-girl supergroup "Hags Abroad". A game of bewitching betrayal and block-rocking beats. Boom!

Of course, I now need to write Up Go The Heads. :-)
