If you want to run a full-length game at Dragonmeet, say:
1. What the game will be.
2. Whether you'd prefer morning or afternoon or you don't care.
It's looking like CE members might only be on the stall for half a day (to avoid the problem of having more people manning the stall than customers), so, in a sense, you might as well run a game and sell some copies of your stuff that way.
(That isn't a final decision, it's just that it's looking like it might be the case, hence the idea of running games).
Could we keep this thread fairly tight? Little discussion, mainly just people saying "I'll run Dead Of Night in the morning".
When this thread's done, I'll compile it into a schedule, post it everywhere and mail it around all and sundry.
Graham

Submitted by Andrew Kenrick on Mon, 29/10/2007 - 09:59.
Oh, no, I'll throw my hat into the ring too! I'm happy to run (for one final time) my 28 Nights Later scenario for Dead of Night. As for when ... morning I think!
I'd love to run something
Submitted by cthulahoops on Thu, 01/11/2007 - 22:45.
I'd love to run something but still a bit unsure as to what. I'd say Polaris if you want to pick something non-CE. If you want something CE, then Contenders is about the only game I feel up to running. (Yes, I need to go shopping.)
I'm also happy to help out demoing shorter games.
Contenders

Go on, Adam, do Contenders. Help The Cause.

Sure, I can do Contenders.

Schedule
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Sat, 24/11/2007 - 16:55.
OK, do we have a schedule for this? We need to work out who is on the booth in the morning and who is on in the afternoon.
I propose that we have a meet up at the booth well before the doors open. There we have a get together about attitude on the booth, what all the games for sale are, so we're all clear on our responsibilities, and our aims for the day.
The doors open to the public at 10 am and I want us to be ready for then, probably with some demos in progress on our demo tables so we can learn some games and look like a booth that ecourages play.
So, Graham, who's on in the morning, and when is your seminar?
Angus hasn't got back to me
Submitted by Graham W on Sat, 24/11/2007 - 18:25.
This is what I requested:
Joe Prince, Piledrivers and Powerbombs, morning
Gregor: Spione, either a morning or afternoon slot
Iain: Mob Justice, either a morning or afternoon slot
Andrew: Dead of Night, morning
Adam Kelly: Contenders, either morning or afternoon
The timetable of games should be posted soon (they said it'd be earlier this week, but it didn't happen) so, when that comes out, we'll know.
I'm running a LARP in the afternoon, so if there is a seminar, it'll be in the morning.
Graham
Thanks Graham
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Sat, 24/11/2007 - 19:33.
Thanks Graham, that's great. I've had the same contact as you, so I'll watch the website.
I have a few admin things to tie up this week:
(i) Payment for the booth. Chase up the remaining people.
(ii) Arrange for payment for the Flyer. Neil did you get my e-mail?
(iii) Make sure I have demo materials for my games printed out. (Iain: are you bringing a|state and Cold City demo stuff as well as Mob Justice?)
(iv) A money box, someone?
(v) A float of change for the booth. Usually £20 in a mixture of change (£5, £2, £1 coins) is good enough.
(vi) Stickers. I have Jon Hodgson's stickers and can pass a sheet on for £1 a pop.
(vii) Stock and other materials (in my case books and pin badges).
Right, sounds good.
I will have the cold city
Submitted by Iain McAllister on Mon, 26/11/2007 - 12:20.
I will have the cold city and Mob Justice demo packs with me but I have never seen an a|state one. Malc can you provide something?
I am working night shifts all week so can pick up a money box if need be.
Cheers

Hi Iain, if Malcolm doesn't send one along to you then I can do it when I get home. It is a tried and tested demo that has served pretty well over the years, and is quite fun to both play and run. Oh, I will have the print out a forthcoming book with me that you can show to CGS fans... (just got it from Paul and it looks Amazing & Awesome!)
Great, Neil, no problem.
I'm sure someone already has a money box, or a plastic tub.

That's fascinating. Is your second name Paypal or did she keep her maiden name?
I bet it causes confusion at the bank.

Small problem
Submitted by Iain McAllister on Wed, 28/11/2007 - 10:56.
Hi guys,
I emailed Angus last night to get the MJ game moved to the afternoon and it seems he may not have received the information Graham sent him.
I have emailed the GM's involved apart from Adam whose email I don't have. Can you send angus (angus@cubicle7.co.uk) a short synopsis of your scenario along these lines:
Scenario Title: Brothers in Arms
System: Mob Justice
Time: 2pm - 5pm
GM: Iain McAllister
Players: 3-4
Scenario Write-up: Your father lies dead in an alleyway. Police sirens are drawing nearer, too soon to be anything other than a frame up. What you going to do?
please note I put in my own end time that might change depending on what Angus wants.
If all GMs involved can get this down ASAP that would be appreciated.
Cheers
Iain

28 Nights Later
Submitted by Andrew Kenrick on Wed, 28/11/2007 - 11:31.
Scenario Title: 28 Nights Later
Game: Dead of Night
Time: morning (whatever the morning slot is! 11am-2pm?)
GM: Andrew Kenrick
Players: 4-6
Scenario Write Up: A virus that turns its victims into bloodthirsty monsters ravages London. 28 nights later you emerge from a bunker deep beneath Whitehall. Can you evade the monsters and escape the city, or will you succumb to the infection? A Dead of Night game for 4-6 people, inspired by 28 Days Later and Day of the Dead.
OK, I'll do the afternoon
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Wed, 28/11/2007 - 17:32.
Game: Spione
Time: Afternoon
GM: Gregor Hutton
Players: Up to 4
Blurb: "Pushing up the collar of his jacket, Leamas stepped outside into the icy October wind. He remembered the crowd then. It was something you forgot inside the hut, this group of puzzled faces. The people changed but the expressions remained the same."
- The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, John Le Carré
Spione is about spies in Berlin during the Cold War. It's a new way to author and enjoy spy-fiction, for which no specific knowledge of Berlin, spying or the Cold War is needed. Just bring your imagination.
The Map
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Thu, 29/11/2007 - 11:36.
...is now online.
We are in the same place as last year (right-hand side as you enter the Great Hall, just next to Pelgrane and not as far along as Leisure Games).
If you find out which table your games are on then the map should let you find them.
I think our demo tables are the ones in front of us, probably L4 as Pelgrane will probably be on L5.
Do we know when the morning
Submitted by Andrew Kenrick on Thu, 29/11/2007 - 14:15.
Do we know when the morning and afternoon slots start and end?
From a post on UK Roleplayers...
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Thu, 29/11/2007 - 16:53.
...the two slots are... 10:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 18:00
I will be running my Spione game from 14:00 - 17:00, and the morning slots will actually kick off at 10:30 or so (since the hall only opens at 10 am!).
The trade hall shuts down at 17:30, so I recommend that our afternoon games are wound up at 17:00 to allow people to buy the games if interested.
I also think it would be wise to finish morning games at 1 pm.
Schedule is now up
