The Arsenal of Heaven

My sales are currently suffering from a lack of recent releases to refesh people's radar at the OBS sites. So I've pulled Arsenal out again, thinking that it should be fairly quick and simple to finish and could potentially qualify as a Halloween release, which would be nice.

Of course, now I'm looking at some fairly central rules stuff and thinking it's clever but unnecessarily complicated...

For info, this is a new item in the NUGGETS series about modern folks who obtain the power items of the ancient gods (eg Thor's hammer, Monkey's staff) and get embroiled in supernatural conflicts. While working on it before it emerged as potentially quite well suited to the "young people and the supernatural" genre.

So anyway, just posting to flag this up and give me the chance to encourage me - the sort of encouragement that involves birch twigs, perhaps - and possibly comment on a draft as it gets closer.

You're up against the clock

You're up against the clock for a halloween release right now. Not that it isn't do-able, it just depends on what still needs doing. If you've not got suitable art sorted out already you might struggle, for example. How close to finished are you?

Incidentally, check this out. The license text is a bit beyond me, but you may be able to use it. The image itself is from an early copy of Journey to the West (the original story of Monkey).

Oh, the art got sorted

Oh, the art got sorted months ago.

If I can get a decent chunk of time to work on it, it's do-able. Whether that's the best approach is another question. But on the fifth hand it's been sitting around for ages, poor thing.
