All this talk of publishing reminds me I still don't have a pithy name for whatever you might call my "company".
Back a few years ago, when I was seriously considering publishing Urban Mythos I was toying with using the company name Ring of Roses. As in Ring of Roses Games or Ring of Roses Publishing.
But I have recently been toying with the name Angry Vicar Press. Because it makes me laugh and is somewhat less depressing than bubonic plague*.
I want something British (or perhaps English?) but not baffling to foreigners. So "Asbo Chav Gatso Fortnight" would probably be out.
* Which I am told is apparently not the real origin of that rhyme anyway...

I don't like Ring of Roses, much.
Angry Vicar is great, but it's a bit close to Bully Pulpit Games (Jason Morningstar).
Fire and Brimstone Games? Flaming Skull Games?

"A Pocket Full of Posies" sounds good to me but I quite liked "Ring of Roses" too.
More nursery rhyme inspiration:

- Jack-Be-Nimble
- Dig and Delve
- Four and Twenty Blackbirds
- Sat in a Corner
- Lion & Unicorn
- When I Grow Rich

I like Angry Vicar!
Or how about something related to Umlaut? Your motto should totally be "putting the umlauts back where they don't belong." With every vowel umlauted of course.

I've noticed it and bitched about it to Andrew a couple of times in the last fortnight or so. Any idea why I keep getting flagged as a horrible spambot to be slapped down by the righteous mods? Or you at any rate ;o) I'll note that this began somewhat before you made the big changes to the site look and layout.

I insitigated Akismet (a spam blocker) about a month ago to block the vast amount of spam Gregor and I were dealing with. It's been very effective, but they do occasionally throw false positives.
It's a service that checks posting patterns, content, links and IP addresses against known spammers. So if it's picking you up as one either you have another life as a viagra salesman, or your IP address range is flagged as dodgy (your ISP might be used by them).

Not a huge amount that I can do amount my IP as it's a static one as we're with BT Broadband. Plus I sometimes get messages purporting to be from myself selling viagra/cilas/sex tapes/what-have-you. They obviously got my email from somewhere, fucking spammers.
