Mind the gaps folk! I'm switching to the improved template, which incorporates a few requested enhancements as well as some space to build in planned improvements.
I've checked it across multiple browsers, but certain combinations may yet throw up oddities. Post below if you encounter any!

No problems for me...

Looks great. The star on the page backgrounds is sweet and the forums are much easier to read.
Thanks Matt!

Wow, didn't expect this this morning! But it looks pretty smooth! Is this still drupal?
Yeah.

Backend is still the same, I just tweaked the front end within an inch of its life.
(Not something I'd recommend to anybody who values their sanity, by the way.)

Typing posts

The only issue I have noticed so far is with the "Comment" boxes. Type disappears off the side of the box. I wonder if it's to do with the width that these boxes are defined to be?
This happens on a PC running Windows XP Professional and IE 6. I'm sure it was like that this morning on my Mac running OS X (10.4?) and the latest Firefox.
I can use the resize thing at the bottom but when I start typing again it goes back to the default.
Yeah, it's an IE 6 bug

brought on by the textarea-resizing script. I've disabled it for now to prevent it pending a better fix.

I'm loving the new layout.
The colour scheme is growing on me, I was very used to the old one and old aesthetics die hard...

Second day in to the new theme and I'm loving it. Since I discovered "Recent Posts" that's what I'm using most.
Well, good to know it's working out for people

It's been in the works for so long I've forgotten when I started it (must have been shortly after Spodley).
I'm attempting to find a method of moving old blog posts into forum posts, but not finding any useful documentation yet.

I notice that the text in the subject boxes is being heavily truncated on most posts. Maybe make the character limit on the subject boxes the same as the maximum subject size to avoid that?
Do you mean the form field, or the posts themselves?
Submitted by Matt on Wed, 05/09/2007 - 09:03.
The size is browser width dependent, so it varies based on what's available.
If you don't post a subject it truncates the start of your post automatically as the subject.

Things now appear to be the same on IE6 at work as they are on IE7 at home, which is nice.
Or they did until I started typing and the scroll bar disappeared. Weird.
Could do with an space in the thread listings between "Type" and "Post" which run together.
A rather long subject which would be truncted if I am right

Solipsist RPG, on its way ... eventually
I meant the number of characters allowed in the field, as opposed to the display width of the field.
Maybe it was my imagination. I was sure I had entered an actual subject (rather than an automatic extract) and had it truncated when I posted. I'll try on this post, which will doubtless prove me deluded
Edit : And the result is ... I am deluded, ahh well
