OK, we are now approaching the end of August and we should start thinking towards Dragonmeet.
A few things need planned.
Now, I can sense some of you are excited at reading this. You will know who you are.
Take a breath. Pause.
OK, now read on.
We need to figure out who is interested in being on the Collective Endeavour booth at Dragonmeet.
Then we will need to figure out who is actually going to be on the booth. It may be everyone who is interested, but I suspect that we will have to limit it based on the available space.
We also need to find who is willing to run games, and run demos, at the convention.
I think a factor in this will be...
- Who will definitely have books at Dragonmeet?
- Who will hope to have books?
- Who hopes to have an ashcan?
- Who is hoping just to be part of the presence there in a more general sense?
Angus Abranson knows we are committed to being there. However, please note that Dragonmeet is an increasingly popular convention and space is at a premium. I hope we have the same space as last year and hopefully as good a position, but that stuff is all in Angus' hands.
OK, so having said all that... who is in?
Please post if you are interested and be specific about your interest.
If you have any questions then do ask them... but if they will be likely to cause debate and a bit of back and forth raise them in a separate thread.
Let's keep this focused.

Malcolm is abroad, but he has a long-standing desire to have the Contested Ground books represented at Dragonmeet.
If Malcolm, Paul or John could indicate if they wish to be on the booth, or if they are happy just having the books there and other boothers promoting them that would be great.
Books definitely available:
Possibly have merchandise?

I'd like to be on the booth.
Ashcans definitely available:
Since it's just an ashcan, I'd be keen to represent another game, too: in the sense I'd focus on promoting it and demoing it. Say, Cold City, Mob Justice, something like that, depending on who's there.

I would certainly like to
Submitted by Malcolm Craig on Tue, 28/08/2007 - 21:21.
I would certainly like to have CGS products represented and (if possible) demo'ed at Dragonmeet, although for obvious reasons I will not be able to make it myself.
As Gregor mentioned, we would have:
Cold City (+ the Companion, + the last 2 Dossiers)
Mob Justice
a/state (+LGTME, +Villains, maybe + something else)
Thanks in advance for getting all of this organised a going!
Cheers

Steampower would like to be
Submitted by Andrew Kenrick on Wed, 29/08/2007 - 07:32.
Steampower would like to be there. I'll definitely have:
Dead of Night
I might have an ashcan of either ...
Six Bullets for Vengeance
Ordinary Angels
... but can't promise anything!
Please sir, can I come too?

Guys,
I will have some form of Umläut available. Assume it's an Ashcan. It's very unlikely that I could get a finished version laid out and printed in time regardless of the state of the text.
I'll be at the Con
Submitted by Geoff Hall on Wed, 29/08/2007 - 14:10.
...but I doubt that I'll be on the booth. I wont have a game available by then (ashcan or otherwise, or at least I doubt that I will) so I'd prefer booth space to go to the more deserving. Plus there's a very real chance that I'll be bringing along my eldest son to the Con and will need to spend the time showing him around and playing a game or 2. I will, however, be an annoyingly continuous presence and want demos run like last year ;o)
I shall be at
Submitted by JoE PrincE on Wed, 29/08/2007 - 16:59.
I shall be at Dragonmeet
With these books:
+ Contenders
+ Swansong
+ Piledrivers & Powerbombs
Maybe ashcans of DvG or L&L
I'll run some demos and hopefully a longer game too.

The Giant Brain will be there with hopefully, touch wood, pray to various gods,
Revenge of the B-movie
Reel Adventures - Ashcan but maybe full product.
I will of course be representing the Mob as well.
Cheers

Or not...
Submitted by Geoff Hall on Mon, 03/09/2007 - 19:50.
Hmmm, we've hit a financial crisis of potentially business sinking proportions so I don't think that I'll be able to make it to Dragonmeet this year after all. Or, y'know, anywhere else for awhile...

Vague handwaving
Submitted by Tim Gray on Thu, 06/09/2007 - 06:41.
In terms of establishing initial interest, I'd probably look to be around. I could have my existing stuff like Questers, LW and the NUGGETS, but hopefully by then I'll be leading with Jaws of the Six Serpents (PDQ sword and sorcery type thing).
In terms of firm commitments at this stage, go away and leave me alone, wah!

Another ashcan
Submitted by Graham W on Tue, 16/10/2007 - 12:02.
Just to note, I'll have another ashcan by Dragonmeet: a thiefy dice game
by the name of Blackguard.
Also: a book, by the name of Play Unsafe.

Cool. We can firm up our list near the end of October, but this gives us a very solid ball-park figure for our needs at the con.
Thanks everybody.
