One of my frustrations with Dragonmeet is that it's too short. There's only time for one or two games.
With that in mind, I'd like to invite a few people round to mine, on the Sunday, to play games. We might only get one session in but, with luck, we could do an informal morning session and an afternoon session before people travel back.
I imagine we'll cook a Christmas dinner. We like doing that.
A few people can stay over at mine, too: we can accommodate about two couples in comfort. I'm not really into the sleeping on the floor thing, though. There are some very cheap hotels nearby, as an alternative.
Anyway, I realise it's a long way off, but bear it mind if you're coming down. Dragonmeet's on Saturday 1st December, so if you'd like to play games on Sunday 2nd December, you're more than welcome.
Oh...by the way...this isn't quite an open invitation. Everyone I've met on this board is welcome; partners are very welcome; people I haven't met on this board are probably welcome; a couple of friends would be OK; but, you know, not strangers.

I'd definitely be interested. Dragonmeet is too short as is.
May I bagsy somewhere to kip too?

I'm staying in Luton with my sister-in-law, as per last year. Hopefully I'll be able to come over for part of the morning and afternoon.
Me too...

...I should be able to stay somewhere in London, but I'll wait until they're back from their honeymoon in Africa before I ask.
Oh, and there goes my last day of holiday this year!

It'll be nice to have you all over on Sunday.
Do feel free to ask if you'd like to stay over on the Saturday. It won't be on a first-come-first-served basis, you understand: there are people who have let me stay at theirs, in the past, and if they asked, they'd have first refusal.
But you're welcome to ask.

Graham,
I'm well up for a couple of games on the Sunday. Sounds like a great idea.
I'm/we're also kinda/sorta up for staying, but given that I don't live too far away I'll only request that if you don't have other takers.
Are you cooking?

Because if you are, I'm happy to lend a hand, by picking up some shopping, or with the kitchen duties, if that doesn't despoil your Fortress of Solitude. I figure if the uptake for this is high you may want to defray the load.
Oh, and by extension, yes I'm up for coming.
BTW, great site redesign, Matt.

Shopping might be useful, actually, thanks very much.
Try to help with cooking and you're a dead man.

I would be looking for somewhere to stay Graham if you still have room. Also willing to lend a hand with any cooking duties.

I'd be up for a game or two

I'd be up for a game or two but the day after Dragonmeet might be awkward. You see there is a
traditional post-con wind-down meet-up in the Penderel's Oak pub on Holborn. But I must say that the
opportunity of a game or two with you lot is very tempting.
