[Labyrinths & Lycanthropes] GenCon love

OK, I ran a game of L&L after hours when I was in GenCon. We were looking for a low=prep game to just shoot the breeze for a while. I had Tom from MA, John Wilson from Edinburgh and some guy from Canada (that I can never remember the name of) playing.

Tom mentions it briefly here: http://bluegargantua.livejournal.com/250133.html

I couldn't find the random suite table for determining treasure type, but that could just be my weak table-fu. So we just picked what I remembered as the suits and stuck to them.

I think Tom nails what we did. They kinda hosed a lot of my monsters but came unstuck with the Big Bad's henchmen, even though they kicked the Big Bad's ass.

Was good fun and it was cool that they escaped, as this time I was really trying to hose them and advance my own character.

Good stuff. This game doesn't have far to go before completion. But I think you pretty much knew that.

I thought Tom's view on it would be interesting to you anyway, Joe.

Cheers Gregor Glad you had

Glad you had fun - what kind of map did the guys come up with? I'll bet it didn't compare to the Rope-Con masterpiece...

I'll make the suits more obvious in the next iteration, with summary tables a-plenty it's: Spades=Warrior, Diamonds=Rogue, Clubs=Mage and Hearts=Multi-Class.

Do you think the tone of the text is OK? It's pretty much just the rules at the moment. I need a few more examples for sure.

Good to get Tom's opinions. I did originally use group XP, but kill stealing bitchiness suits the game so much better!
