Hmm, is there a better way of deleting all the posts from our favourite Russian spambots?
I don't delete the user straightaway since that leaves all their garbage as anonymous user... I block them then I use the page tracking to zap all their trails of rubbish... then I bullet them...
...but there's got to be a better way, right?

Spam, Spam, Spam!

Yeah, block the user, then delete the posts is basic way (spam is pretty much unavoidable).
As an Admin you can also block ip addresses and email address types, which I tend to do after a bad attack to prevent further abuse. It's hidden away in access controls > access rules.
I notice there's an Akismet plugin for Drupal, and I'll add that in soon as spam has been a growing problem of late.
edit: I've added Akismet, let's see how we do...

We got attacked by spam again this weekend, 17 new posts, all of which were blocked and unpublished by Akismet. Seems to be holding up.
