Yep that is the name I have settled on for my podcast, and I am going to try and get one finished for the end of the month. What I am looking at is a 30-45 min cast that has some banter, some information and is entertaining.
At the moment I will maybe do one a month, if I can get it going maybe bi-weekly. The podcast will focus on game design and reviews with the occasional interview. I may do a seperate cast on starting up your own imprint.
I would like a co-presenter though i may go for someone local to make things easier. In my mind, podcasts are more interesting when they are at least two people to bounce ideas about and banter away. Would any of you guys like to do this.
This is the sort of thing I am thinking of including.
Reviews: a review of a game played recently, honest criticism was what I was looking for here.
Game Design: current issues in game design, relevant and informative.
Interviews: hopefully with some of you fine chaps.
Gaming Heaven and Hell: where we consign games to either of these places. Comical in nature.
...and some other stuff when I think of it.
Comments welcome, and I will start recording sometime next week.
Cheers
Iain

Sounds good Iain. Well not

Sounds good Iain. Well not sure about the title, maybe something more gamey would be better.
I'll volunteer as a co-presenter, the jaunt to Edinburgh once a month is fine. It'll be nice to get a CE podcast up and running.
Can Smeagol present the reviews?

That would be excellent sir, I thank you. Smeagol? This was going to be a Giant Brain podcast by the way not CE, though it would be bent towards our interests obviously. I was planning to host it from my site not this one.

Should I move this to the Giant Brain forums rather than Brainstorming?
Looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

I'm ready for my close-up, Mr McAllister! ;)
(PS - travel to physically meet up shouldn't be necessary in the podcasting world, AFAICT. If you want tips I'm sure Paul Tevis and others would be happy to help. Certainly paul and Brennan aren't together for the Voice of the Revolution - presumably using Skype or something.)

If this is a podcast for Giant Brain, I would caution against your Heaven & Hell segment. Even if it is light hearted (which I'm sure it would be), I always think that negative commentary on other games from a game publisher is bad form*.
All sounds good though. If you need a foriegn correspondent, let me know!

*Note: However, I'm not talking about giving constructive critique here, which is a whole different ball game.

Good point from Malcolm there and I will certainly be gathering advice from other podcasters as well. Would you be interested in doing the occasional segment malcolm? Games you have played round the world or something? Gamers you have met round the world?

Well, I did run Dust Devils for a bunc of hardcore D&D players last week in Georgia and I play to run a few more games (of various stripes) as I travel round the planet.
So roving games reporting is indeed a possibility.
