[Best Friends] Review in Graffiti

West Virginia's leading alternative newspaper Graffiti (cirulation of over 100,000) reviews Best Friends.

Very positive and detailed review, thanks to Michael Erb who is also pushing it to RPGnet I believe. It also presents the game mechanics and content quite accurately.

Just in time for GenCon, I've had two reviews. Wow.

That's great, really good

That's great, really good stuff. Could Best Friends break into the mainstream of popular culture and Mr Hutton become the next [insert the name of someone who produce something that was previously fringe and is now really popular]?

Joking aside, I think this kind of coverage and review is immensely beneficial and positive. I'll be very interested to see what effect this has on sales, particular who those sales are coming from.

No idea what effect these reviews and the GamerChicksRule event at GenCon will have.

I have fairly open expectation of how I'll do at GenCon. I think, given the good sales last year, that this year they'll be about half of that. So I reckon I'll do 20 sales over the 4 days on the Forge Booth.

I'll see if I do better or worse than that. And it'll be interesting to see if there are any spikes in sales (and indeed if I become a big name in West Virginia).

I am glad that I got all 12 copies I recently shipped to IPR sold in a week, as the 4th printing has come together pretty quickly in the end and I didn't want to have stock lying about.

I have a small stock of 1st, 2nd and 3rd printings and I'll be using those in cases where people want those books over the 4th. (Hey, some people want to be an early adopter and have the "classic" version.)
