OK, back at EXPO people mentioned doing promotinal cards.
Now the big thing in the web arena is Moo, which will take any uploaded photo (or grab your stuff from Flickr, LJ or elsewhere) and turn it into a neat ittle sub-business sized card.
The great thing is you can have a variety of images for the fronts (each of a 100 batch can be different if you want). So this got me thinking, we could use pics/materials from all collective games with the main web address on the back. At £9.99 it won't break the bank either. Plus we can slot 'em in with sales at cons, so people know to come here to give feedback.
If people think this is a good plan, then I suggest we collate appropriate imagery here. Hopefully we can get some for Ropecon.

That is an excellent plan, thanks for reminding us that we were talking about this.
I'd be happy to chip in the money for a set of Cold City cards. However, I wouldn't really be able to help much with the organising, as I'm busy with preparations to head off round the world.
If they ere done in time for Ropecon, it would be great if Gregor could bring some over to gen Con for me. Actually, I'd probably pay for 2 batches: one for you guys back here and one for me to have as I travel.
Cheers

Tangental idea: did you see the thread on Story Games about business card-sized games? It suggested putting mini-games on cards and handing them out at booths.
Anyway, if not a complete game, I like the idea of putting something fun and usable on the cards.

I saw that thread. Many cool ideas.
For non-rpg purposes, I was considering a set of say 3 cards that are each part of a site from my portfolio... But you could easily build bits of a game into them, as you have 100 options.
Oh, also, they're launching stickers on Thursday next week (Launch party in London for folks close by).

Excellent idea. So on the front we could have artwork from one of our games, then on the back the name of the game and a link to the CE site.
I'm in. If anyone wants me to do any organising or sorting, I'd be happy to.

I like that idea too Graham - instead of artwork (or on the flip side) you could have a character concept, a plot hook, a trait for Cold City, a truism for Covenant, a Dead of Night cliche or whatever, just a snippet of rules.
You could even have it so that each one is different, and people collect them to make a deck of plot hooks or situation elements.

From the look of things you can have various images, but only one reverse-side text. So its one address, or maybe all of them, but not mix n match.
Not too big a problem, as you could use photos with the web address on for the front.
Since the photos get cropped, certain things require a bit of work. I had to add a load of extra space round the CE logo to get it spaced correctly, for example. Oh, speaking of which high-res is obviously best for print stuff. So if somebody can nudge Paul to post a high-res version of the CE logo, that'd be great.

Is there any other literature or merch. that we'd want? How about pin badges or stickers (like the GoPlay ones)?

Right, so unless anybody speaks up I'll do a set with both colours of logo on the front and back text to the effect of:

While looking for the high-res logo I came across this thread. If you haven't seen the finished Moo cards then... stop us and ask to see them!
They're great and do we have enough to hand out on the booth at Dragonmeet? Or could we do with some more?
We'd only need about 50 for DM I think.
We have about 90 left

Moo are also now doing stickers and cards too (though I think the postcards are a bit expensive), which might be something to look into.

I really liked them, although forgot to snaffle enough from Matt so was caught without them a few times over the weekend when people asked for contact info! Oops!
