Reel Adventures - It's here

Hi guys, thought I would try posting this again to start of some game design debate. This is a little side project I am working on and is a game idea that has been boiling in my brain for a while.

Reel adventures is all about action film style storytelling. Fast short scenes based around interesting conflicts that are fundamental to the characters involved. It is designed for an evenings play and quick pick up, so there is a minimum of character creation. Most of the character creation is in game.

The system revolves around impact, which players accumulate through conflict and manipulation of their connections and background, and momentum, which builds against the players from scene to scene and makes doing things more difficult as it increases. It also encourages, well almost forces, people to do dramatic things to stop them being swept away by the plot.

What i need to know is whether or not people think momentum will accumulate too quickly and whether or not you guys think it forces play too much. The only playtest I have run so far went well, but I have not had a chance to play a full game yet.

Cheers
Iain
