It is with a mix of regret, sadness and relief that I must announce that Go Play Manchester is no more.
This means our proposed meetup this coming Sunday, 12th, is now cancelled.
For various personal reasons, not least of all that both me and co-organiser John Ossoway (Ottomancer on various forums) have very young children and wives that work, GoPlay was becoming more a burden than a joy to run in recent months.
We've therefore decided to cut our losses and call an end to Go Play.
Both myself and John would like to thank all the people who came along to play and run games.
We've made some lasting friends out of this and had a bunch of fun in the process.

Sad news.
When you get a moment, can you deconstruct the trials, tribulations and so on of the escapade, and maybe post some advice on what works and doesn't?

Yeah, I think it would be very useful to learn what effort these activities require from the organisers. As a learning point for anyone else interested in starting such things up.
