Hi guys,
I am back looking at some RPG projects at the moment and need some help finishing off and playtesting Reel Adventures, my action movie story game.
From the last playtest, there was a problem with people creating Risk for their Stake by getting new Resources. There was no incentive to get involved in Action. I have now added in Grit rules:
Grit adds up over the course of the story.
The Hero with the most Grit at the end is the one who takes down the nemesis, everyone else just helps.
Grit rules are on p.14 and p.19.
I just really need to get motivated on this again, and keep finding myself hitting a brick wall.
Could anyone give it a read over for me and see what they think. If they could playtest it as well that would be great.
Cheers
Iain

Which Page?

I can't find a page 14 or 19 in this document? Do I have the right one? It's the one you've included in the post.

I haven't written the page

I haven't written the page numbers on the document so word should point you in the right direction. I have highlighted the sections in red as well.

Yeah, I kinda guessed that, but the document I downloaded was only 10 pages long according to word and I couldn't see any sections highlighted in red. Have I got the wrong file?

Iain, can you also include the sheets you refer to? It makes understanding the whole thing much easier if the sheets are there, even if they look like poop.
Corrected and character sheet

Right that is the doc correct now.
Rich I can't actually upload the character sheet, it was something I lost in my mac explosion a little while back. I will see if I can track down an old copy, scan it and upload it.

Mac explosion?

But Mac's are perfect computers, crafted from natural crystal by artisans of the highest calibre and individually delivered by a flock of doves. One going wrong in any way is simply impossible due to their utter awesomeness and superiority to all other computers ever created. Clearly any data loss is your fault for not buying enough Apple brand stuff.
But more seriously, that sucks mate. Perhaps some off-site backups are in order in future? But for now, I'll have a look at it this week and get back to you.
My plan is to buy a time

My plan is to buy a time capsule or set up an equivalent, but yeah basically it was my own silly fault. I have some stuff backed up on PC but not a huge amount. Lost a lot of photos and some game ideas but nothing too serious.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Time Capsule?

Jesus, those things cost 4 time what they're worth. Get a Western Digital Mybook or Maxtor One-Touch for £60. The One Touch software's easy to use and (last I checked) even supports Macs.
Or, save the money and make use of gmail (by mailing yourself text documents) and Picasa for photos. (I'm spoiled, I have two laptops, two servers and a bunch of Unison scripts...)
