Given the discussion and debate surrounding the Falming Cobra imprint, the news that WildFire are changing publishers is interesting. Although, it must be said, the press released does not give a huge amount of detail.
I'd like to caveat this post, saying that this is just out of interest in developments within our part of the games scene and would like to avoid any kind of needless speculation.

Voice of the Revolution, the regular podcast from Indie Press Revolution, has a new show. Paul and Brennan are always worth listening to, with lots of cools stuff about games, interviews and gaming techniques.
This time around, Episode 21 of of Voice of the Revolution gives some love to both Hot War and 3:16. Paul and Brennan mention them in he first part of the show, talking about the latest releases to appear at IPR and stuff that is coming out for Gen Con. Check it out.

Interested in Duty & Honour but not too familiar with the setting? Want something a little more credible than Sharpe? Well, Radio Four has a week long series this week called 'At War With Wellington' narrated by Peter and Dan Snow. It looks spiffing!

Couple More Things

Just finishing a novel called 'Space Captain Smith' which is a bit like Pratchet in Space desperately plumbing the British Empire + SciFi thing. Its not high literature but its funny enough and might be useful for mining ideas for Everlasting Empire.
And something my wife gave to me which I cannot share, but I have to mention. She's a lecturer at Newcastle College and as such as a password for their online library resources - including the British Libraries Online 19th Century Newspaper resource. Oh My God. I just spent an hour reading Peninsular War despatches and lists of promotions and invaliding reports. Utterly fascinating (well, for me anyway)

I have never seen anything so bleak in all my life. Life in Russia at that point must have been a right treat!
Saying that though, from a design point of view its rather interesting.
Thanks for the link Jon, I actually want to go and seek out more of this kind of stuff now.
