Gregor and I met last night to collate the 2008 sales figures for Solipsist now that Q2 is actually over (this was the first full quarter) and I am exceptionally pleased! In just 4 months we've covered all our printing and shipping costs for the entire run (including the test prints) and I'm only 1 sale short of covering the art costs as well! I wasn't expecting to reach this point till the end of the year, so needless to say I am over the moon! Next time someone buys something we are making genuine profit! :)
Anyway, here is the sales breakdown in detail
2008 Q1 (preorders and March)
- Preorders - 7 (bundles)
- Con Sales - 20
- OneBookShelf - 7 PDF
- IPR - 9 books 9 PDF
Totals : 36 books + 23 PDF (59)
2008 Q2
- Direct Sales - 3 Books 3 PDF
- Con Sales - 8
- OneBookShelf - 8 PDF
- IPR - 36 books 8 PDF
Totals : 47 books + 19 PDF (66)
Making the totals for the year so far 83 books and 42 PDFs for a total of 125 copies sold.

Yes, I'm really happy about how it's gone so far. Most our IPR sales have been to shops I think, and they are re-ordering the book too, whcih is very positive.
IPR is, of course, our biggest sales channel, which I think is other publishers' experience too.
I'm excited that Q3 will have US GenCon and the sales off the back of that.
Anyway, almost all the bills are paid so any more sales are cash for David and me. Huzzah!
