Shipping?

I'm doing some back-of-a-fag packet costings for things and I have come to a halt on printers shipping costs. I can't seem to find them listed anywhere for a bulk shipping cost.

How much would you -roughly- expect to be paying for say 100 copies of a book around the same size as say, Piledrivers and Powerbombs??

Shipped from where to where?

Shipped from where to where? £50+ or so from the US to the UK. Maybe only £20 internally in the US. That's from memory tho so might not be correct!

We had Fidlar Doubleday ship 20 (?) copies of Solipsist to us (transatlantic) and 130 to IPR in the US. The bill was about $180 or thereabouts. Ouch.

Yet, I've had 40 copies of similar books shipped over from the US by USPS and it was about $37 flat rate for the box.

Well I thought that the FD prices were for priority mail, which is always more expensive. it pays to check with whoever will be doing the shipping, some places will only use certain types of (generally more expensive) post.

The first time I used Avalon

The first time I used Avalon it was close to £100, but that was priority airmail. The second time, when I had left myself plenty of time, it was sent surface mail which was a good deal cheaper, but took about 2 months.
