I am doing the final alterations to B-movie before it goes to print and wanted to run them past you guys.
The deck is being increased to 63 cards and I am adding:
Disco Dancing -1
Invasion of the +2
Biker(s) +1
I am not going to put an age recommendation on this run as the initial run will all be sales through the website and at cons. I will consider it for the second run.
Keeping in mind that I do want to keep it family friendly and that Gregor's age suggestion is about right I am toning down some of the words.
So, Lycanthropic becomes Furry
Should I take out Nazi?
Also on the rules I have a quick thanks section. Now this is pretty standard in books, but is it needed or wanted in a card game. I would personally like to include it.
Any comments are welcome.
Cheers
Iain

I'd say...

The new cards are great.
It's sad about Lycanthropic. How about "Werewolf" (with an alternative of "Were-") instead of Furry?
Yes, I'd say take out Nazi, if you want to sell it to kids. Major level of offence waiting to happen. (And it's not that funny. I'd say, on a funny-vs-offensive tradeoff, lose the card.)
A quick thanks section sounds fine.

Lycanthropic

I agree with Graham -- taking out "Lycanthropic" makes me sad. If I remember correctly, the main text on the card is "Werewolf", so it won't be too confusing. Also, from a quick trawl of the IMDB, lycanthropy is mentioned in more shlock movie titles than "furry".
Reading into words...

Furry...
Doesn't that have another rather sexual connotation?
As an adjective 'Were...' fits the genre perfectly. Dammit, you want to see Were... Clowns from Mars come out, don't you?

More Cards

Hey, if you want to stick even more cards in the set, maybe you should start a suggestions thread? :D
I say keep Nazi. I mean, ok, family friendly and all that, but ignoring the Nazis doesn't do much. They're one of the ugly truths that people should remember lest they happen again. And they should also be repeatedly beaten on in B-movies. They're the perfect villain who practically everyone can hate and kill without remorse! :D
That said, it's your game. If it makes you feel uncomfortable, remove it.
