Hi, guys. Thank for your patience and apologies for all these threads. I'm happy to take on some of the work this'll need, so you guys don't have to give two hoots. =)
This Google spreadsheet is available to everyone who offered to run a GOD. If I've not mailed you an edit invitation, mail me at joe.r.murphy@gmail.com and I'll send one asap.
Games sheet will give us an idea of the spread of stuff we could potentially run. Like, two folk have offered to run the Roach. Just one to run Bliss Stage. This isn't set in stone. It's just possibly useful to help us plan. I'm extremely impressed by the number of games we could potentially run.
Times gives us an idea of when you're not available. I can't do Sunday afternoon, as I'm running games for kids then.
Once we have this down, we can have a chat about how players actually request games, and how we respond. All that.

Halleluja. Thx Joe.
So, we have one table? ONE table? So that's only one game running at a time while the other GODs on duty push the games being offered. That' not much, but perhaps enough for the size of Conpulsion.
I've updated my availabilities over the two days.

It might be enough, it might be too much. BUT, we can respond to demand and grab another table elsewhere if we need to.

Last year, we just had an IGT. One hour slots, just one table. We had maybe 8-10 games in total over the weekend.
I can be roped in too

I spoke to Per and Pooka

I spoke to Per and Pooka this weekend. Here's Games on Demand:
We're going to write up a cool sheet for the front desk explaining everything and mentioning some key games. We're going to try to have someone hanging around near the desk too, to be available for punters.
We're not offering tables of four or five as with most games. Any number can sign up for each slot.
At 11.00 and 15.00 (and maybe a later slot on Saturday evening?), gamers turn up at the table. Whichever GMs are available offer their games to the gamers - think carnival huckster or Roman slave auction.
Gamers vote, and the GM takes them away to play whatever they wanted. Games thus start about half an hour after the slot start. And run for about 3 hours - less if you want to.
If we get an surplus of curious players, we can run two games - at the assigned table, and up in the bar or whatever. We can be flexible.
If you're not taken up and are free for the period, I'm happy to game with you, as is Per and Pooka. So we can game, playtest, chat, thumb-wrestle.
The only requirement for GOD GMs is to be available for the beginning of slots. So if you're not playing or running something else, you get back to HQ at 10.50 and 14.50.
Participating GMs will need to bring the books they can run, character sheets and dice/cards/tokens.

Sounds like a grand plan. I like the auction idea. With enough folk willing to run you get a minimum pool of players anyway.

Auctions

I was chatting to Joe on Gtalk the other night, so this is pretty much what I said to him (minus the swearing and personal insults).
The auction system functioned really well at Kapcon, as this sounds like pretty much the same system we tried out. If you can, a whiteboard to write up the names of the games that people are expressing interest in is good. Means that when a game is excluded, you can wipe it off and it's obvious to everyone that it's no longer being voted on.
We never had people unhappy with the game they ended up in. I hope you have the same experience, it's looking good.
Best of luck!

Ah! That's very good. I like that. Cheers, Malcolm.
I'm really looking forward to it. It sounds fresh, fun, with a small amount of comparing cojones. Or testicular fortitude as JoeP would put it.
