Conpulsion's website continues to gather information, traders and events.
We need to decide who's in, what we want and who's paying. We also need to send some material and money their way, which should be easy to do since I am helping organize the con.
I suggest that we PayPal money to me, and I then pass it to Jo, the con organiser so that it gets into the con's coffers. (She has asked if I can be a point of contact for other people wishing to use PayPal and it seemed OK to me.)
I recall there were a bunch of threads about organising games and it looks like you have all that sorted.
The bit I need to sort out is... we are taking a table for two days, which will cost £40. I also suggest we buy an ad in the programme (£10) so we get to run our advert that so painfully almost made it into the real world at Dragonmeet. We also need to figure out how many weekend passes we will need for Con Entry. The tables likely come with a free pass, so we need to figure out what we have on top of that. (If you are GMing then you could be eligible for a free pass, see the GMing requirements on the website and consider doing so.)
So, who is splitting the £50+ is all I really need to know.
BoxNinja will be there, with David Donachie on the booth.
Contested Ground will have Paul Bourne on the stand, right?
...
(I'll be there as Staff so have entry that way, but my booth time will be strictly as a vistor I'm afraid.)
And do we have any text that the website could use for the demo games/IGT you have planned? A list of URLs of participating members and their books would be cool.
I have a bundle of Dragonmeet flyers that can be handed out at the booth.

Yes sure I'll be there, but you'll need to brief me on what you want me to say about Best Friends, I've never played it sad to say.

I will be there on the sunday for sure, I am still negotiating saturday with work. bah! I will not need con tickets as I bought some in the charity auction last year, which I still need to pay for. Gregor could I give you a cheque that you could pass onto joe for me for the money I owe?
I will be wearing my CGS hat if I am there on the saturday.

Should I assume that I will be on the stand, or running Solipsist for all the slots, or will I be able to do anything else? Does the stall stay open in the evening slots?
My stepson will arrive sometime on Saturday, so I probably have to go home fairly promptly in the evenings.

I'm totally in and I'll be running up for running two sessions of D&H and *maybe* a session of Hot War. And I am more than willing to stand at a stall and say nice things to people about games in a lilting geordie accent as well.

Conpulsion charges per table (or equivalent space used) in the dealer room. So Gregor is suggesting we need two table's worth of space for our booth.

No...

To be clear I said... "we are taking a table for two days, which will cost £40."
This has nothing to do with demos, games or other non-booth activities. This is purely to find out who wants to be on the booth.
It is £20 per day, so Sat + Sun = £40 total that we owe the con. I think we should have an advert in the programme, which is £10. So it will be £50 split between everyone, unless we have to buy some more passes and split their cost.
If you are all running games then I'm sure you will get free Con entry, but I will need to run who is doing what past Jo to see it is all OK (if we are all running stuff then that will take care of itself).
So, so far we have...
David (I'll chat with you by e-mail about what we're doing)
Graham
Paul from CGS (I spoke with him on the phone)
Neil
Then questions for...
Iain (Are you being paid in by CGS or are you going to be doing Giant Brain stuff? Chat with Malc, Paul and John about what your plans are then clarify on here.)
Ash (Who wants to help out with the costs but won't be at the con. Do you have any stock you'd want sold at the con?)

It's very unlikely that I'll be able to make the con - some fool made Edinburgh a long way away - but the booth sounds very cheap and I'd be happy in principle to pay a share if that makes sense for the model (thinking it'll probably only be about £10).

Incidentally if you need flyers or leaflets, I just started work at a little litho printer's. Dunno if I'll get much of a discount, but if you want me to get a quote on some ad material or similar just let me know.

I won't be there this year (boo!) as I have other plans for Easter weekend. I've sent some stock up with Iain, and am happy to chip in my share of the costs too.
As an aside, I have also sent him back with the banner and tablecloths, but the stands are all stranded down here. This might be a problem...

Submitted by Rich Stokes on Fri, 15/02/2008 - 11:53.
Guys,
I cannot make it to this one I'm afraid.
I'll gladly shove money towards the costs (cause it's going to be very little each anyway) because the remaining Umlaut bootlegs are going to be on sale there. Incidently, I can send the demo kit to anyone who wants it.
I have the stands. Scott D is maybe going up to Conpulsion and if he does he's probably going to be driving. If that's the case, then I'll give the stands and whatnot to him at Concrete Cow so he can bring them up. That is, assuming I get to Concrete Cow! Actually I might give the Umlaut kits to Scott, come to think of it...
So I'd say there's a 60% chance of the the stands getting to Conpulsion.

Sponsoring the 24-minute design challenge

Woah, great idea there man! Seconded! Especially if we get to hang a big red 'CE' Banner over the participants!

Only flaw is, the 24 minute RPG contest doesn't need sponsoring, as far as I know. I mean it has no costs beyond 40 sheets of lined paper and some biros.
