OK, so WarpCon 18 (2008) is in the books and we had a great time.
Briefly, some of our pencilled-in games didn't run as there weren't available players at those times, and other games ran at other times ("on demand" as it were) when players were available and interested in them (Mob Justice, f'rex).
We had some sales, some full games, some demos and some playtests.
Sales: Best Friends 4, Contenders 1, Covenant 4
Games Run:
Mob Justice (a couple of scenes totalling a few hours of play, on demand)
Covenant (a long session of set-up and play that generated sales)
Lacuna (twice, one longer than the other)
InSpectres (a full session I think)
Demos:
Spione (a small discussion and demo early on Sunday morning)
Playtest:
zuzannah (a hatful of scenes, AP to follow)
A Need To Kill (a hatful of scenes from all the acts, AP to follow)
We also talked about the games, games design and a host of titles that we had with us. We almost got a Contenders but it wasn't to be.
Erm, did I miss anything from this list?

We drank a lot? I appear to have acquired a stomach bug?

General thoughts.
It was my first Warpcon. I felt really welcome and had a great time. It's a quality atmosphere that reminds me of Conpulsion. Given the cheapness of flights, it's well worth doing.
Actual play sells games.
It's a great venue (though the main hall was slightly noisy at times).
Google maps cannot guide you to the Cork Hostel correctly.

That was a fantastic con.
I was surprised at how well the on demand works. I love the idea that roleplaying games can be as easy to pick up and play as a board game. Yes, in theory lots of indie games are, but it's nice to see it working in practice.
I think the Roach disappeared mainly because I was a bit worn out to run it (and happy to let Gregor run A Need To Kill instead) - not due to lack of players. If I'd been a little more up for it I could easily have it happen.
I look forward to the AP threads.
Adam.
One of these days I will
