Notes
If you want to run a full slot, please say what you want to run and what slot you'd like.
If you want to run a slot of GOD, please say what slots you'd like to run and what games you can offer.
If you're up for an Indie Sampler, please say what 4 games you're going to want to give 30 minute demos of and (Yeah, you knows it, baby!) what slot you'd like to run it in. If people want to tag-team the samplers, that's a neat idea too.
Exactly how the GOD will run is a topic for a different thread.
Games for children is a great idea, but it's not part of the IGT. Please talk to the Con organisers about it. Any parent who lets their kids near me will find themselves seriously wishing they hadn't.

Cheers, Rich!
In case this isn't 100% clear, no, I don't think kids should be an IGT thing.
I'd put together a sheet of what games people wanted to run for GOD. I'll forward that to you Monday (I'm afk for the weekend). Though people will likely just get back to you here.
Great I will be running

Great
I will be running Solipsist, otherwise I might as well go throw myself off a bridge (or hide under a bridge and not come out). I have no idea when I would like to do so. I am assuming I will be on the stall at least some of the rest of the time ... and dearly hope I will not be on the stall *all* of the rest of the time :)

Choices
Submitted by Pooka on Fri, 25/01/2008 - 23:01.
I'd like to facilitate Shock in the Saturday 3PM-7PM slot, for 5 players.
I can run Bliss Stage, Shock, Polaris, or Grey Ranks in a GOD slot. I'm not fussed about which... say Sunday 8PM-11PM?
Honestly, I'm completely flexible about these slots.

Can I offer D&H playtests as part of the schedule or does it have to be published games?
Oh, and I have no problem spending time on the stall too and directing people and generally being pleasant.

Be my guest.
She'll have a much larger vocabulary when you get her back.
Can I offer D&H playtests as part of the schedule or does it have to be published games?
My instinct is to say "Yes, as long as it's clearly marked as a playtest so that punters know what they're getting into." As far as I can tell you've run enough playtests to know that D&H isn't going to fail horribly and crash and burn. That is, you're past the point where the game basically works, right?
Having said that, I for one would like to play and I imagine a few other collectivites would to. So offer the seats to people here first and chances are that you'll fill it without having to advertise.
Does that sound OK?

I'll pencil you in those slots for now and see if you want to change about later. Plenty of time to decide, right?

David, same goes for Solipsist: I'd like to try it and I think so would a lot of other people here. You might want to run two slots, unless you're looking more at playtesting than playing?
Either way, there'll be plenty of games for you to play.
I'd better put myself down to run Umlaut and Something Else. I'd better think about that. Agon is the easy answer, but I don't really want to carry all that lego on a flight again if I can avoid it!
Slots

Yeah - it should run fine.
I've got to shoot off for a train on Sunday around 7pm so anything other than that late slot will be fine. Sun Morning and Sat Afternoon or something like that. Two sessions would be perfect.

Sunday Evening
Submitted by Malcolm Craig on Sat, 26/01/2008 - 22:38.
As a tangential comment, you guys might want to forego the Sunday evening slot. That's generally time for the pub quiz, closing con comments and beer related antics. If you're keen to game, then more power to you, but thought it might be best to let you know.

Solipsist
Submitted by David Donachie on Sun, 27/01/2008 - 00:03.
Solipsist will be officially released in print at Conpulsion, so if I am still playtesting then I should abbandon all hope :)
I don't mind doing two sessions, say one each day, though as I say, without seeing the rest of the con schedule it's hard to say when.

I'm planning...
Submitted by Graham W on Sun, 27/01/2008 - 11:30.
...to run four consecutive Gumshoe games Saturday and Sunday morning. (That's consecutive chronologically).
I think that should probably be part of the main thing, not the Indie Games Track, since it's, you know, not indie.

I can run Contenders,
Submitted by Joe Murphy on Mon, 28/01/2008 - 12:54.
I can run Contenders, Polaris, Trollbabe, the Shadow of Yesterday, Lacuna, Sorceror, Inspectres, Gonna Naw Rest Yir Heid (DRYH variant) and In a Wicked Age (woo!).
And Tiny Triangles (aka Mouse Guard) and Tears in Rain as a playtest.
I'd prefer to run them as GODs. I could run a couple of them, tag-teaming in the Sampler on Sunday morning (anyone want to try that?).
And if you need slots filled, Rich, let me know. A full timetable looks good.
This is all slightly confusing.
Submitted by cthulahoops on Mon, 28/01/2008 - 22:54.
Hi,
I'm most interested in running short, but not mega-short games, which means that it looks like GOD for me. If one of the afternoon slots is available I'd happily grab it.
I can run: The Shab al-Hiri Roach, Lacuna, Inspectres, Contenders, Lacuna, Shadow of Yesterday, Trollbabe, Polaris, and whatever else I find in the next couple of months.
Adam.
Adam, I'd love to play

Maybe Hot War?
Submitted by Neil Gow on Tue, 29/01/2008 - 09:57.
I'm just about to start my scenario for Hot War called 'The Square' and it struck me last night that it could make a pretty decent con scenario. Actually, it struck me last night that it could make a very decent DitV scenario as well but thats by-the-by. After I run it I'll share it on here and if Malcolms OK I could do that as well, if required?

Neil, I suggested to Malcolm
Submitted by Joe Murphy on Tue, 29/01/2008 - 16:54.
Neil,
I suggested to Malcolm I run some HW, but I've not run CC. Though I think HW would suit me more, as it's a slightly wackier, open setting. And I know London. SO, if it's a cool scenario, we could run it twice. Bound to be some CC fans there we could rope in.
(also, a playtest of D&H? I'm so there)
Warning!
Submitted by Neil Gow on Wed, 30/01/2008 - 00:27.
(OK, taking what Gregor and others have said I would have emailed this to Joe but I can't see his email....>sheepish grin<)
I've just finished my first half of the scenario with my players and two out of three were adamant that I shouldn't be playing it at a con. Not because it wasn't good but because some of the issues that it taps into are .... well, read the AP when I post it. Adult. They press some buttons. That said that sort of makes me want to run it more just to see what the reaction is! I'll bang the scenario up and then we can see what we think.
And yes, I'm down for two tests of D&H I believe.

Is there a preliminary
Submitted by Per Fischer on Sat, 16/02/2008 - 12:58.
Is there a preliminary schedule somewhere?
If there are any slots left for anything I can do full session demos of Burning Empires, preferably morning slots.
I can also do a variety of short demos. I'd like to demo Tears in Rain/Trollbabe and wouldn't it be suitable with more V Baker games since he's the guest of honour? At least Dogs and Wicked Age.

Yes, the con is getting closer and I still don't know what slots I'll be running Solipsist, what slots I'll be on the CE stall and what slots (if any) I'll have to do something else.
I may well not be available in the evening slots now though, my stepson will be visiting and I'll probably be off to do stuff at home.

Fight over this
Submitted by Graham W on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 14:05.
Taking everything that's been said above, the timetable would look something like this.
I've ignored the Sunday evening slot and, since there are few enough games anyway, assumed that Table 3 will be entirely Games On Demand.
I've shuffled things slightly, so that Table 2 is entirely playtests and samplers.
Table 1
Saturday morning: Solipsist with David
Saturday afternoon: Shock with Pooka
Saturday evening: [EMPTY]
Sunday morning: Burning Empires with Per
Sunday afternoon: Solipsist with David
Table 2
Saturday morning: Hot War playtest with Neil or Joe, fight it out
Saturday afternoon: Duty and Honour playtest with Neil
Saturday evening: Indie sampler (to be decided)
Sunday morning: Indie sampler
Sunday afternoon: A Need To Kill playtest with me
Feel free to volunteer yourself for slots.
Graham
Observations
Submitted by Graham W on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 14:45.
1. We just haven't got enough games to fill all those tables, plus have a selection for Games On Demand.
2. Honestly, I think we need to make some tough decisions about whether we really want:
a. Three tables.
b. Games on Demand.
c. Indie samplers.
I personally feel we should just run a three-table Indie Games Track, without the samplers or Games On Demand. By running two normal games and a Games On Demand table, we'll need at least four GMs in any slot, and that's ambitious. But that's just me.
Oh, and then make Table 2 a Playtest table. Let Iain run a Stitch playtest in one of the sampler slots.
3. If you'd like to do Indie Samplers, volunteer to run some sampler games.
4. I do encourage you to say "Right! I'm doing Games On Demand on Saturday morning!" rather than "I'm happy to do Games On Demand: put me down for a slot."

Can I swap Saturday Evening
Submitted by David Donachie on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 14:02.
Can I swap Saturday Evening for the morning slot. I probably won't be there in the evening, and in the afternoon my wife and stepson will turn up, so it would be much easier for me to be on the stand then.

I can run samplers on
Submitted by Per Fischer on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 14:34.
I can run samplers on Saturday morning then OR Games on Demand.
We possibly need a smaller SWAT team for the GoD thing to cover a wide array of games. I volunteer. I think Joe M and Joe P should volunteer as well :) The GoDs will probably coordinate the table/games among themselves, don't you think?
What's the difference between samplers and GoD?
(thanks for pulling the schedule together, Graham!)

For the thick: So there's
Submitted by Joe Murphy on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 17:52.
For the thick:
So there's two tables which are already mostly full - Solipsist, Hot War, Shock, BE, D&H etc. These are hot new games, which is great.
We still have empty slots Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
We also have an entirely empty table for both days. Right?
Well, I'm happy with two nearly full tables of timetabled stuff and one table available for GOD stuff. The GOD can take over the empty slots Saturday evening or Sunday morning, but there's every chance we won't have interest. Those slots are _quiet_.
I'm happy to volunteer w/ you, Per. Apart from letting the punters know the list of ~20 awesome games we can run, and times we'll run them, is there anything else we need? We don't need to tell them the list in advance, we could just have a whiteboard of 'At 11am, these games are available: Contenders, Lacuna, IAWA...' etc. Right?
I'm *extremely* interested in running games as frequently as possible. I'll be around the tables pretty much all the time, gently caffeinated.
Graham, as you're running
Submitted by Joe Murphy on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 18:05.
Graham, as you're running Gumshoe games all over, Per and I should get the GOD GMs organised.
This Google spreadsheet is available to most of the people who said they were running GODs. Neil, could you email me at joe.r.murphy@gmail.com and I'll send you an invite.

That's cool. For simplicity, do you want to take GOD to another thread?
For a different sort of simplicity, I'd suggest you consider Table 3 yours, all weekend, unless anyone feels strongly otherwise
Back to Indie Games Track. Who wants to run an Indie Games Sampler game? If not many people do, then does anyone want to run a playtest instead? Iain?
Kick me if you don't like the things I'm saying. I'm just throwing out ideas so we have a plan, but if you don't like the plan, shout.

I know I volunteered for GOD, but I have played a grand total of two of the games on the list (other than Solipsist) once each and own one of them, so I'm, not sure I'd be much use :)
I have enough experience and / or reading of a couple to fill them out though.
