Camp Nerdly

Graham W's picture

I'm planning to go to Camp Nerdly at the beginning of May. There'll be a roadtrip as well, possibly up to Chicago area.

While I'm there, I'd like to take some Collective Endeavour games to show off. Perhaps some of the ones that are less known: so Umlaut rather than Contenders, for example.

Do bear this in mind and keep me up-to-date with the latest version of playtest documents.

Oh! And make sure you sell me on your game, too. Grab me at a convention and make me play it.

At the moment, I'm particularly interested in Duty and Honour, Stitch and Six Bullets. If one of those games is yours, for the love of God, send me playtest copies. If none of those games is yours, tell me about your game at the earliest opportunity, because I probably just don't know enough about it.

Hey, McAllister! Did I read you'll be in New York in April? So will I! Why don't you come to Camp Nerdly as well?

Interesting idea Walmsley.

Interesting idea Walmsley. When is it and where is it? How are you getting there?

I have to add an appendix to the game this evening after a playtest response but I will shoot you a copy off then.

It's...

May 9th to 11, somewhere in the woods in Virginia. About four hours from New York, apparently.

I'll drive. I'm not sure if I'll drive directly from New York or not, though.

Didn't I send you a copy of

Didn't I send you a copy of Six Bullets at new year? If not, I'll rectify it immediately!

How much are flights? And is this trip instead of or as well as Gencon US? I fancy a trip stateside this year ...

For me the new york trip

For me the new york trip would be instead of Gencon US. I just think I cant justify the cost. I can still get my games at Gencon without my physical presence.

How do I buy in to Nerdly Graham? Are there places left? Would it be OK to bring Cath?

Cheers

For me, too...

I decided that, for the price of GenCon, I could do a road trip plus Camp Nerdly. And I'll probably enjoy it more. (GenCon might well do my head in and make me want to kill people).

So it's instead of GenCon.

Here are details of how to book. This post went up today, but book quickly. Honestly, I'd advise booking now, or in the next couple of days. I hear it'll be oversubscribed.

(Um, the cynical part of me says that, if you're not sure whether you'd like to go, then get a ticket anyway. I think you could sell it on if your plans changed.)

I do hope that's the venue.

Hm, May's a nice long time. If I have anything ready by then (possibly the print edition of Fearmonger, though I think you'd find DreamCatcher more to your taste) I'll see what I can drop you for checking.

Thanks for the offer!
