Gregor has posted his sales figures for Best Friends over here, so I said I'd join and post my own for Dead of Night.
Conception, Bournemouth (Feb): 4
Dragonmeet, London (Dec): 14
Direct Sales (almost exclusively Q1, when getting a copy in the UK was difficult): 15
Key20: 11 (1st quarter), 64 (Q2), 4 (Q3), 10 (Q4)
IPR: 24 (4th quarter only)
Total sales = 146
Dead of Night came out in November 2005 and was available exclusively through the distribution chain until October 2006 when we started selling through IPR. In November and December 2005 alone we sold 104 copies of Dead of Night through distribution (and 7 in person at Gencon UK).
By the start of 2006 DoN sales were already tailing off from being in distro for 2 months, as DoN was no longer the new thing, although it peaked again in the summer when Esdevium finally picked it up and bought a load.
We have experienced another peak since October when IPR started selling Dead of Night, and both Ron Edwards and Ken Hite gave it some attention.
In general, sales have tailed off to very little through distribution, but hopefully this will be replaced by a fairly constant sales stream via IPR. I think next time we release a game it will be through IPR first, and only moving into distribution with it through Key20 if it does sufficiently well with direct sales.
