Came across this webpage when searching for someone who had turned to wood. A purely rational explanation to something quite bizarre and grotesque. [Warning: quite gruesome.]

Character Names
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Sat, 12/01/2008 - 01:59.
Here's a website with lists of Character Names for RPGs. (StoryGames did their name project a while ago, where's that at? Was it a pay for thing in book format?)

SG names project

(The SG names project was a for charity thing. You can buy the book from Lulu at slightly over cost, the money-for-charity came from the advertising. It's a useful book, but not perhaps as useful as it could be. There's a lot of chafe in there in the form of really bloody obscure ethnic names nobody's ever going to use, but those are less useless than you might think because you can just assign your fantasy culture an ethnic naming convention and use them that way. It's 6 quid)
SG names project PDFs

Jason made the PDFs of the individual cultures/groups available online here:

Then you can just pick what you need without having to worry about obscure etchic names like Danish and Pornstars ;)

GenCon/RCA Dome
Submitted by Gregor Hutton on Wed, 30/01/2008 - 13:14.
The destruction of the RCA Dome in Indianapolis (joined to the convention centre for GenCon) is to begin and take about 6 months. This will allow the convention centre to be expanded significantly by 2010.
The new stadium nearby (Lucas Oil Stadium) is due to be finished by GenCon weekend, according to NFL.com.
