[Best Friends] Ash's upcoming review in KOTDT #135

Ash's review of Best Friends will be in Knights of the Dinner Table #135. I'll be picking it up for sure.

Thanks to Ash for reviewing it, and for everyone who suggested that he should. It is very much appreciated.

Now, I'm not going to name any "online reviewers" for any particular criticism, but I have been generally disappointed with "reviewers" covering games. Notable exceptions that I've been grateful for actually, y'know, reviewing have been Michael Erb, Peter Dyring-Olsen, Don Corcoran and, now, Ashok Desai.

Matthew Pooke is a good guy in my book too, but I am less than impressed by the "name" reviewers who take your books and don't review them at all (and get pissy when someone calls them on it online).

So, thanks to those good guys out there.

Yeah actually getting reviews is a nightmare. Contenders still doesn't have anything on RPGnet.

No problem, thanks for sending a review copy over so promptly, I was in something of a bind finding new material to review in time for the sharp deadline. I think you'll be pleased with the review. That said, I've given up putting scores out of ten on them. It just doesn't seem a fair or useful method for Indie games due to their unusual nature. Next month's review is Cthulhu Tech, and after that probably Agon.

Yeah, Pooky's a great guy, he lives around here somewhere, I usually bump into him at the local gaming store. Not seen him in a while, I should look him up and see what he's up to these days.

'Unfortunately' I got a huge bucketload of games from Indie Press Revolution that need reviewing - over two years' worth in fact - but after I've worked through a few of those I might be able to squeeze it in. Alternatively, I've always gotten a good response from Megan Robertson (email is megan AT medals DOT org DOT uk) who reviews on a number of sites and is usually willing to cross-post to the sites of your choice. She's not been too well recently, poor lass, but I hear she's recovering.
